Armstrong’s Gallery opened 42 years ago. Since then, the gallery has been providing a large selection of fine art ceramics for the entire community. Many of the artists they represent have been featured in Ceramic Monthly magazine and are sought after for workshops all over the United States. Armstrong’s Gallery exhibits a wide range of firing techniques and forms. You can find vessels, abstract sculptures and utilitarian wares from the ceramics’ world most celebrated innovators.
David Armstrong, the owner, has had the good fortune of studying ceramic art with the world renowned ceramic legend Paul Soldner (1921-2011.) That connection has paved the way for meeting and working with other ceramic artists and exhibiting their works in the gallery. His director, Cynthia Madrigal, has been practicing and exhibiting artist for the past 12 years.
She and her team are continually looking for new and exciting artists who are pushing the boundaries of the ceramic medium and improving on the foundation the ceramic masters have laid out. Their search leads them to many ceramic & craft art fairs; as well as workshops and artist studios, in hopes of exhibiting the finest quality and most inspirational art for their patrons.
Currently, Armstrong’s Gallery is featuring Hungarian artist Julia Nema. Ms. Nema’s whisper thin porcelain sculptures are designed to bounce and sway with the light of the sun and candle flames.
